Land Justice for West Africa, LJ4WA, has created Radio Drama series on land issues that deal with landgrabbing, women's rights, corruption and smallholder practices. Also the full radio scripts are available and LJ4WA encourages translation into other languages.
The first episode 'Taboo no more!' is a Nollywood type of radio drama looking at women's land rights in Nigeria. Women, in particular widows and women-headed households, tend to be denied or are assigned weaker land rights and, as a result, are often amongst the most vulnerable people in society and victims of grabbing. Women have to resist land grabs not only of investors but also very often of their male kin.
