The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) requests expressions of interest under its new Development Priorities Window (DPW) for rigorous and policy-relevant impact evaluations in any of these four sectors: environment, governance, infrastructure and public finance.
The aim of 3ie’s first development priorities funding window is to fill the evidence gaps in sectors where high-quality evidence is scarce. These four sectors targeted in this first development priorities window (DPW1) are intrinsically linked to the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Proposed impact evaluations must be of environment, governance, infrastructure or public finance policies or programmes in low- or middle-income countries. Multi-country applications are eligible, so long as all countries are listed as low- or middle-income countries.
The proposed impact evaluation design must meet 3ie’s definition of rigorous impact evaluation. These include a clear theory of change, a strong identification design and the use of mixed methods.
The deadline for submitting EOIs is 18:00 Indian Standard Time, 18 January 2016.
